Elisabeth (LaylaElis) has drawn and painted all her life. Her love of patterns and simple design has been strongly influenced by her Finnish heritage and having lived for six years in the Middle East. Her work combines geometric motifs, light, shadow, and movement, whether calligraphic flow or twirling textiles. She is moved by people taking action for justice and by everyday forms of beauty and graciousness.
